Three Naxalites , one of them carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, were arrested from two separate places in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said on Thursday. A court sent them to jail.
Badse Budhra (25) and Madvi Bheema (29) were apprehended in Putkel village. A lower-rung Naxalite, Tulsiram Modiyam (21), was nabbed from Pamalvaya village.
A joint team of the CRPF’s elite CoBRA unit, the CRPF's 85 Battalion and District Police were involved in these actions on Wednesday, Bijapur Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Shukla said.
Badse, who carried a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head, was a Local Organisation Squad (LOS) member while Madvi and Modiyam were militia members in the outlawed Maoist movement, the officer said.
Badse and Madvi were involved in a murder of villager in Timarpur in January this year while Modiyam was involved in abduction, killing and looting incidents, he said.
