Three vehicle lifters nabbed, two Maruti cars and a motorcycle recovered from them

Hanumanganj police have arrested three vehicle lifters and recovered two Maruti cars and a motorbike worth Rs 6 lakh from his possession.

Earlier on November 23, a complaint was lodged by Mohammad Shajil Khan of New categorized market regarding the theft of a Maruti 800 car bearing registration number MP04V2739. During the investigation CCTV footage was checked on the possible escape routes of the  miscreants with the car.

A team was sent to search for the suspects which resulted in the arrest of the suspects near Kabeetpura. The arrested accused were identified as Mohammad Shoaib, Mohammad Aman  and  Zuber Khan.

The accused accepted the theft of the stolen Maruti 800 car, later in the investigation they accepted incidents of vehicle theft from other police station areas of the state capital which were recovered from them.

Apart from the Maruti 800 car, a Hero Honda Splendor bearing registration number MP04NL3053 stolen from Mangalwara police station area,  Maruti 800 car bearing registration number MP04CB9199 stolen from Nishatpura police station area and Bajaj Pulsar bike bearing registration number MP04KM0643 which were worth Rs 6 lakh.

The accused used to work at Old Categorised market and used to sell old parts of the vehicles by opening and breaking vehicles. They wanted to earn maximum due to which a godown was made in Islamnagar away from the city to buy old vehicles and sell their parts, they used to steal the vehicles parked in deserted places in the state capital.

Shoaib, Zubair and Aman were booked for Hanumanganj, Mangalwara, Nishatpura and  Kotwali for stealing while Zubair was booked for Hanumanganj for assault and threatening.
