Tourism Usha Minister Thakurs on seven days visit to Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Religious Trust and Endowment Usha Thakur will participate in the program "Buddha Bhoomi India - Journey along the Footsteps of Buddha" in Thailand from 26 August.

In addition, Minister Thakur will participate in tourism road shows organized in Malaysia and Cambodia.

Minister Thakur will invite tourists from all the three countries to visit the major places of Buddhism in the state. Minister Thakur will be accompanied by Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Additional Managing Director Tourism Board Vivek Shrotriya, Vice Chancellor Sanchi Buddhist University Neerja Gupta and Vivek Jude from Tourism Corporation.

Minister Thakur will apprise the general public including representatives of the above countries, international tourists, tour and travel agents about the culture and role of Buddhism in the state. Also will invite Tourist to visit important Buddhist tourist places like Sanchi, Vidisha, Gyaraspur, Udayagiri, Satdhara Sunari and Andher, Murelkhurd.

Minister Thakur will participate in the program "Buddha Bhoomi India - Journey along the Footsteps of Buddha" at the Emquartier Shopping Center in Bangkok from 26 to 28 August.

In the program, there will be discussion about cultural ideological brainstorming and tourism related activities of both the countries.

Minister Thakur will participate in tourism road shows in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on August 29 and in Phnompenh (Cambodia) on August 31.

In the road show, travel agents and tour operators will be motivated to include these Buddhist places in the tour plan of tourists by giving information about the tourism related facilities in Buddhist places of the state. During her return journey, Thakur will visit Angkor Wat temple and monuments on September 1, 2022.

Stories related to Ramayana and Mahabharata scriptures have been engraved on the huge walls of the largest temple of Lord Vishnu in the world.
