Several trains have been cancelled and some have been diverted owing to nine hour power and traffic block for RUB near Nichitpur Station on Dhanbad - Gomoh section.
The work for pushing of precasted block commenced at 10am and the work for the day would end at 7pm an hour ahead when important trains like Rajdhani express trains would cross this portion beteeen 8 pm and 9 pm.
All three Rajdhani express trains including Howrah, Sealdah and Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani express trains besides other important express trains would run on limited speed inbetween Tetulmar and Nichitpur stations said a senior railway officer.
Dhanbad divisional PRO PK Mishra in a statement said that passenger trains including Asansol - Gomoh DMU besides Asansol Varanasi, Hatia Bardaman have been canceled from either sides . Movement of important express trains originating from Howrah have been regulated owing the said block..
Some have been diverted via Jhajha - Gaya he said.
The remaining works would be completed on February 10 and February 22, said DPRO..
Once operational the daily jam faced by commuters ear Goshala bridge would end as there would be two lains for movement of road traffic .
