The postmortem (PM) report of Odia television actress Rashmirekha Ojha, who was found dead in her rented house in Nayapalli on Sunday, stated that she died by suicide.
Her death was due to suicidal hanging. There was no mention of external or internal injuries in the autopsy report. She died around 24 to36 hours before the conduct of the autopsy, Capital Hospital sources said on Wednesday.
Earlier, a suicide note was recovered from the spot. The actress held none responsible for her death. Following Rashmirekha’s death, her family members had accused Santosh Patra, who was staying with the TV actress as husband-wife in a rented accommodation.
Though the family claimed that they were aware about the marriage of Rashmirekha and Santosh, they suspected foul play in the entire incident.
The Commissionerate has said that they going to interrogate the deceased's boyfriend Santosh Patra and former boyfriend Raja to unearth more information on their relationship and the reason behind her suspected suicide.
The police also said they would try to find out whether any of the two male friends abetted her suicide.
