Weather conditions witnessing abrupt changes turned hot and humid on Wednesday while pre-monsoon activities halted with few places reporting rainfall.
Day temperatures recorded sub 40 degree celsius still hot and humidity in the weather prevailed and displeasing climatic conditions persists across state and state capital.
Bhopal recorded 39.7 degree celsius and night witnessed 26.5 degree celsius.
Most of the places recorded day temperatures below 40 degree celsius and in the next 48 hours day temperatures would increase by 2-4 degree celsius. Sagar recorded 1.7 cm rainfall, Damoh recorded 8 mm, Khajuraho, Nowgong, Jabalpur, Satna, Chhindwara also recorded rainfall.
The weather in the districts of the division was mainly dry. Mandla, Bamori also recorded 1 cm. The maximum temperature fell especially in the districts of Sagar division, in Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions. The highest maximum temperature of the state was recorded at 41.8 °C in Khargone.
According to forecast Rewa, Shahdol, Chambal and Narmadapuram divisions and Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Bhopal, Raisen, Sihar, Vidisha, Dhar,Ujjain, Guna, Ashoknagar and Shivpuri districts.
The Met issued warning of thundery activities, gusty winds upto 40 kmph in the districts of for Rewa and Shahdol divisions and Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh districts. Warning of thundery activities has been issued for Chambal and Narmadap in the districts of Puram divisions and Bhopal, Raisen, Sihar, Vidisha, Dhar, Ujjain Guna, Asheknagar and Shivpuri districts.
