Woman killed over land dispute in Bokaro

A 40 year- old woman was shot in the head on the late night of 30 September at around 10 o'clock here on Friday at Patel Nagar within the limits of Bermo police station.

After the  incident she was taken to the Central Hospital Dhori with the help of local people, where she was declared dead after examination by the doctors.The allegation is on the woman's brother-in-law, said Ravindra Kumar Singh, Inspector cum Officer in charge of Bermo police station.

After getting information, the local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. 

Giving information about the incident, the son of the deceased Renu Devi said that as soon as he came out after having dinner at around 10 o'clock on the night of 30 September, the sound of firing was heard. 

He saw that his mother had fallen on the ground. On closer inspection, he came to know that his mother had been shot in the head. He has expressed the apprehension of murder on the uncle living in his neighbourhood. 

According to the local people, the said woman has been shot in the head in a land dispute. Hearing the sound of bullets and screams, the family members ran to the woman. 

The family members informed the Bermo police station about the matter. Simultaneously, the woman was immediately brought to the Central Hospital Dhori for treatment. Where the doctor of the hospital declared her dead after examination.
