A world class sports complex is taking shape in Dharampura area in Jagdalpur in Bastar. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inspected it during a visit on Tuesday and reviewed the progress.

The Dharampura Sports Complex is being built as per international standards. The complex is being equipped with all modern facilities for the sportspersons.
A world-class 400 meters long synthetic athletics track is being laid. The world's most advanced material is being used for its construction. The material used in the track is manufactured in Switzerland.
The state-of-the-art sports complex is being developed in an area of 27 acres at Dharampura.
In the sports complex, different grounds are being prepared for four major sports at a cost of Rs 16.56 crore.
An indoor sports hall for athletics, archery, volleyball, handball, kho-kho and kabaddi is being constructed. Separate space has been reserved for long jump and high jump.
The sports complex is being equipped with an 8-lane athletic track of 400 meters worth Rs 7.46 crore, a 6-lane practice athletics track of 200 meters and an archery-cum-training center worth Rs 4.72 crore.
A multi-purpose indoor sports hall worth Rs 4.38 crore is also coming up.
The under-construction pavilion will have a seating arrangement for 1,550 spectators along with parking facility for 340 four-wheelers.
For the first time in Chhattisgarh, a 400m main athletics track is being developed along with the 200m warm-up synthetic athletics track.
