Youth Cong hoists black flags at ED office

Saturday, 18 June 2022 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

Protesting against the “continuous harassment” of Congress leader and Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) “at the behest” of Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to settle score on the Gandhi family, the Youth Congress put up black flags at ED office here on Friday.

Hundreds of activists led by Youth Congress State president Dr Smruti Ranjan Lenka painted the wall of the ED office in black ink terming it as a BJP office.

Dr Lenka alleged that the Modi Government, since it came to power, has been maligning the Gandhi family in the so-called National Herald case without any evidences.

The Bhubaneswar District Congress Committee also staged a dharna before the Chief Post Master General office here condemning the vendetta politics of the Modi Government.

Addressing the gathering, OPCC president Sarat Pattanayak said Congress workers across the country would foil the deliberate attempt of the BJP Government to defame the Congress leadership by using the Central Government agencies ED, CBI, IT, etc.
