A 13-month-old baby boy died while undergoing treatment on Thursday who drowned after he fell in bucket full of water in Ghenukheda area on May 18.
After there was no improvement in health, the relatives continued taking the baby to different hospitals. He died late in the night on Thursday during treatment at Hamidia Hospital.
On May 18, guests had come to the house of Atiq Khan. Everyone was having tea and breakfast at around 9 in the morning. Meanwhile, the baby boy Budhshir Khan while playing reached near the bucket full of water and while trying to stand up holding the bucket, he fell into the water.
Immediately after the incident, the relatives took the child to JK Hospital when his health did not improve, he was brought to Rainbow Hospital. After this, he was admitted to Hamidia Hospital on Thursday. Dr. Ajit Meena posted on duty here declared the child dead after a late night investigation.
Dr. Ajit Meena said that the family had demanded not to conduct the postmortem of the child's body, but the matter was suspicious. For this reason the dead body was shifted to the mortuary. The postmortem was done.
TI Jai Kumar Singh of Kolar police station said, 'The family told in the statement that the child had fallen into a big bucket, which was half full of water. He was immediately taken out as soon as he fell, but by then water was filled in his lungs.
