3-Day Agrotech Kisan Mela to begin from Feb 3

A three-day Agrotech Kisan Mela – 2023 is being organized on February 3 to February 4 at Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) in the State Capital.

There will also be a grand garden exhibition in the fair. In this exhibition, apart from vegetables, spices, fruits, flowering plants in pots, leafy plants in pots, cut flowers, preserved fruits, only gardeners and students can participate as exhibitors in different sections and categories. . In this, farmers, housewives, students, various government and private institutions. It can prove to be a better opportunity for establishments, schools, colleges etc. to showcase the excellence of their exhibits and win prizes.

Guidelines have been issued for the exhibitors in this exhibition organized by the Horticulture Department of BAU. There will be no entry fee for this competition and everyone can participate in the exhibition. Exhibitors can register their exhibits on February 3 from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon.

There will be only entry card with the exhibit and the card will not have the name and identification mark of the exhibitors.

  Only after the decision of the winners, the name and address of the winners can be written on the prized exhibits. One first and one second prize will be awarded in each section. The decision of the judges will be final and binding. There will be no provision for any kind of protest and hearing on the decision. Cut flowers displayed in the exhibition will not be returned. The rest of the exhibits will be returned on February 5 at 4 pm. The right to increase or decrease the number of exhibits in different sections and sections will be reserved by the organizer.

In the category of vegetables, cauliflower and cabbage with two leaves each, cabbage and broccoli with three leaves each, brinjal long and round with stalk three each, tomato five each, potato red and white six each, were awarded in the category of vegetables. Potato, Capsicum with 5 stalks, French Bean, Beans, Peas with 15 pods, Carrot with 5 stalks, Carrot with 5 stalks, Radish and Beetroot with 3 stalks, Bottle Gourd, Kohda, Bhatua (Petha) Will get entry with one stalk, one piece of olive, 3 pieces of sweet potato, 10 pieces of pigeon pea and 10 plants of spinach greens with roots.

In spices category, one fruit of turmeric and ginger with stalk, garlic and onion with 5 leaves and 10 fruits of chili spice with stalk will be found.
In the fruit category, papaya round and long ripe with one fruit stalk, lemon category 5 fruits with leaf, banana vegetable and one ripe fruit with minimum 8 fruits, jackfruit vegetable with one fruit stalk, two pomegranate fruits with stalk, guava Entry will be given to 4 fruits with stem, 5 fruits of chiku, strawberry and tamarind with stem and 15 fruits of jujube with stem.

Entry will be given to one pot of bougainvillea and geranium and three pots of gladiolus, petunia, salvia, gerbera, peony, marigold, rose, cineraria, dahlia, rose miniature, other flowers and other seasonal flowers in potted plants category.  In potted plants category, three pots of coton, coleus, collection of ferns, two pots of cactus, two pots of palm, one pot of bonsai and three pots of succulents, aralia and other ornamental plants will be entered.

In the cut flower category, HT red and yellow roses, HT pink roses, Floribunda and miniature roses with 3 flower stalks, Dahlia, Antirrhinum, Gladiolus with 3 flower stalks and Gerbera hybrid, simple and chrysanthemum spray type with 4 flower stalks will be entered. In the category of preserved fruit products, entry will be given to jelly, jam, squash and syrup of fruit products, ketchup, chutney salty and sweet, pickle salty and sweet and other preserved fruit products. Pots, flowerpots and button holes in the class for gardeners only and models made of fruits, vegetables, flowers related to horticulture and models made of fruits, vegetables, and flowers will be accepted for entry only in the class of students.

Ranchi Police arrested one person

Ranchi arrested the absconding accused of case number 98/22 from Bhitha Basti on Sunday. The police recovered a pistol and a punch from him. The police had received secret information on Saturday, 28 January. The absconding accused Naushad Ansari is roaming in Bhitha Basti. After which, on the instructions of Ranchi Sadar Police Superintendent, under the leadership of Gonda police station in-charge, AN Pradeep Sharma posted in the police station and raided with the help of armed forces. During this, the police arrested the accused from Bhitha Basti. The police found a pistol and a punch during the search which was seized by the police. At the same time, during interrogation, the accused told that the earlier incident was carried out with this pistol.

HIPL bagged Deendayal Port Authority contract

The Deendayal Port Authority, no.1 Major Port of the Nation, has embarked upon to develop a ‘State of Art’ Mega Container Terminal at Tuna Tekra, Kandla, under PPP mode, for a concession period of 30 years, through global competitive bidding process, to be developed in the adjacent East side of existing Dry Bulk Terminal, currently being operated by AKBTPL. M/s. Hindustan Infralog Private Limited (HIPL) has emerged as the highest bidder for becoming the ‘Concessionaire’ of the subject project, by offering ‘Royalty’ of Rs.6500/- per TEU. This is also the highest bid ever received in a PPP project.  This project, which was conceived in the year 2013 is now going to see the light of the day.


Two trains cancelled by RRD

Due to non-interlocking work at Damodar station of Adra Division, the following trains operating from Ranchi Railway Division (RRD) will remain cancelled. Train number 03596 Asansol - Bokaro Steel City MEMU Passenger Special Train (Via Muri) journey commencing from January 29 to commencing date February 1 will remain cancelled. Train number 03595 Bokaro Steel City - Asansol MEMU Passenger Special Train via Muri will remain canceled from journey commencing date January 30 till commencing date February 2.

Son, Aradhana Patanayak visited Bhubneshwar for hockey world cup final

Jharkhand Government's senior officials KK Son (IAS) and Aradhana Patnaik (IAS) reached Bhuneshwar to watch the final match of the World Cup Hockey tournament. Hockey India's General Secretary Mr. Bholanath Singh honored him by giving him the emblem of Hockey India. Sunday was last day of the world cup hockey tournament, the final match was played between Germany and Belgium.
