3-member committee to fix responsibility of building collapse

On the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a three-member committee headed by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob and comprising Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Piyush Mordia and a PWD chief engineer, has been constituted to fix responsibility for the building collapse.

The four-floor Alaya Apartment situated on Wazir Hasan Road in upmarket Hazratganj area of Lucknow had collapsed on Tuesday evening.

Senior officials said that the mandate of the committee was to fix the responsibility of all those who passed the apartment project and were involved in the site visit and approval of the map.

A report has to be prepared and submitted to the government in seven days.
