City’s Annika Singh, a rising star in the world of music and performing arts, has achieved yet another remarkable milestone in her burgeoning career. Annika Singh won the first prize for musical theatre and prize for the best interpretation in the World Grand Prix International Music Contest 2023.

She also clinched the second Prize at the prestigious American Protégé International Vocal Competition 2023, demonstrating her exceptional talent and dedication to the craft. She has won three international awards in six months.

The pinnacle of Annika's achievements will be her upcoming performance at the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York next year. This esteemed venue has played host to some of the greatest musical talents in history, and Annika's presence on its stage is a testament to her extraordinary talent and promise.

Annika gives credit to her relentless teachers, Ashwin Sahay and Camille Vandeweghe, for teaching the techniques that help enhance one’s vocal gifts. As she gained more exposure and knowledge in the field, Annika realised that hardwork was a key factor needed to succeed in this field. There are so many nuances unknown to people without vocal knowledge which prove that a pretty voice is not all when it comes to being a singer. This revelation made her want to push herself even more in order to pursue something she is truly passionate about, with the sole aim of singing a song better than the previous take.

Singh, the lead vocalist of the Sacred Heart Convent music ensemble, has been captivating audiences with her exceptional voice and stage presence. Concurrently, she is showcasing her acting prowess by playing the lead role of Mother Veronica at the Sacred Heart English Fest, further solidifying her status as a multifaceted performer.

Beyond her musical and acting talents, Annika is a prolific writer. She has authored a book that has seen success in the market, with over 100 copies sold. Her ability to excel in both the literary and performing arts realms is a testament to her creativity and artistic depth.

Annika has also left her mark in the world of literature, winning awards for her poetry in a national competition. In addition, her prowess on the dramatic stage earned her the coveted first prize at the national level in drama, further highlighting her versatility as an artist.

In the academic sphere, Annika Singh, currently a 12th-grade bioscience student at Sacred Heart Convent, has consistently excelled. She has maintained a position among the top ten students academically since nursery, a testament to her dedication to both her studies and her artistic pursuits.

Having studied at Carmel until the 10th grade, Annika Singh's academic achievements are underscored by her remarkable score of 95 percent in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination.

“ From a young age, Annika's musical talent has shone brightly, as she has been an integral part of the school choir since the third grade. Her journey from school choir to Carnegie Hall is a testament to her unwavering dedication, exceptional talent, and remarkable achievements,” said her mother Nitulika Singh.

As Annika Singh's star continues to rise, she serves as an inspiration to aspiring artists and performers worldwide. Her remarkable journey from the school choir to international acclaim is a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and unwavering talent. We eagerly await her performance at Carnegie Hall and can't wait to see where her incredible journey takes her next.
