On the World Cancer Day on Saturday, a campaign was held here to inspire change and mobilise action to fight the disease.
The Apollo Cancer Centre, Bhubaneswar which has been at the helm in healthcare programmes was roped in the drive, which was held by FICCI FLO ,Bhubaneswar in association with the Rotary Club Neeladri.
The emphasis was on spreading awareness among women. Also, a Walkathon was organised.
Rotary Club Neeladri president, Punyasloka Mohanty, Dr Chinmoy Kumar Pani and Dr Sanjay Kumar Mishra among others were present.
"Every single person has the ability to make a difference, large or small, but together the health community can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer," said the speakers.
