Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday lauded Lord Ram as an ideal who is revered today by people from all classes.
Kick-starting the National Ramayana Festival in Raigarh, the Chief Minister highlighted the dual form of Lord Ram -- ‘Nirakara’ and ‘Sakara’.
The believers of the Lord Ram are from every walk of life and they connect themselves with him in both these forms, he said.
He also spoke about Chhattisgarh's deep connections with Lord Ram.
During his time in the present-day Chhattisgarh, Lord Ram met Nishadraj, Shabri and various holy men.
Baghel said Ram spent a significant period of his exile in modern Chhattisgarh.
