Beneficiaries will get scheme’s benefits from February 5

Monday, 30 January 2023 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh has a people’s government and I am a public servant. A government exists to change the life of the people. For this, we identified poor people in the entire state under the Mukhya Mantri Janseva Abhiyan who were eligible to take advantage of the schemes. The benefits of the scheme will be given to all these eligible beneficiaries during the Vikas Yatra during its visit to the villages starting from February 5.

Chouhan took part in the divisional level approval letters distribution programme under the Mukhya Mantri Janseva Abhiyan in Amarkantak Anuppur district on Sunday. Chouhan inaugurated the official website of Amarkantak Narmada Udgam Mandir, dedicated and laid the foundation stone of development works and distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes. Food, Civil Supplies Minister Bisahulal Singh, In-charge of District and Tribal Affairs, Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Meena Singh, MP Smt. Himadri Singh, MLAs, public representatives, saints and a large number of citizens were present. Chouhan inaugurated the programme with kanya pujan and lit the lamp. He also honoured the saints.

The Chief Minister said that with the inspiration of Maa Narmada, I have devised a scheme for my sisters on Narmada Jayanti on Saturday. The name of this scheme is Ladli Behena Yojana, which will empower my sisters along with making them self-reliant. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs one thousand per month will be given to women of all categories, except the women of rich and income tax payee families. In this way, each eligible beneficiary will get Rs 12,000 in a year, by which she will be able to meet her household expenses and her needs. The Chief Minister said that the scheme will be implemented after discussion in the Cabinet. To identify the beneficiary sisters, camps will be organised in every village and forms will be filled. This campaign will run for three months.

Chief Minister Chouhan apprised himself from the concerned collectors about the applications received and accepted under the Mukhya Mantri Janseva Abhiyan in all the three districts of Shahdol division. He directed that the distribution of approval letters to all the identified beneficiaries should be ensured in the next two days, so that the beneficiaries start getting benefits in the Vikas Yatra initiating from February 5. Chief Minister said that if an eligible person does not receive the letter of approval, then he should register a complaint in the CM Helpline. In the Vikas Yatra, dedication of construction works, foundation laying and process for addition of the names of such persons, who despite being eligible, have been deprived of the benefits of the scheme will be conducted. The Chief Minister said that poor homeless families, will be allotted land free of cost under the Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu-Adhikar Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that every farmer family will receive Rs 22 thousand every year which includes Rs 6 thousand under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rs 4 thousand under Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana and Rs 12 thousand under Ladli Behna Yojana.

Chouhan said that the PESA rule has been implemented in 89 tribal-dominated development blocks of the state. In these development blocks, the Gram Sabha has been entrusted with the rights of water, land and forest. This rule is not against any class and person and it will harm no one. Under the PESA rule, the Patwari and the beat guard of the forest department will have to produce the details of Khasra, land records etc. in front of the gram sabha every year, to avoid any land misappropriation.

If a discrepancy is found in the land record, the gram sabha will have the right to rectify it. The land taken by the government for the development project can also be given only after the permission of the Gram Sabha. Any outsider will not be able to get the land in his name after marrying fraudulently. Gram Sabha will be able to take action if such a case comes to its notice. Under the PESA rule, permission will have to be obtained from the Gram Sabha for leasing and auctioning mineral mines. The Gram Sabha has been given the right to collect forest produce and tendu leaves and fix their selling price. The Gram Sabha will also prepare an action plan for village development. Along with this, the muster roll of development works will be kept in the Gram Sabha. Workers going out of the village for wages will have to inform the Gram Sabha.

Supply electricity to Majra-Tolas also

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inquired from the stage whether any village in Anuppur district is without electricity. The Chief Minister was told that electricity has reached all the villages except the majra-tolas. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the Collector should prepare a proposal for the availability of electricity in majra-tolas in coordination with the officials of the Electricity Department and Forest Department. Rs 50 crore will be sanctioned for this work.

There should be no irregularities in ration distribution

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that those who mess with the ration of the poor will not be spared. Those who commit such act will be sent to jail. He told the public representatives and the collector to keep a close watch on the distribution of ration and ensure regular distribution of ration to the eligible families.

She said When my heart beats, the sound comes "Mamaji". It may be noted here that daughter Aanchal’s heart was replaced at government expense and at present she is also getting financial support from the district administration for regular treatment.
