The State Government would install the biometric attendance system for doctors, nurses and other staffs in all district hospitals and medical colleges soon
Health Secretary Shalini Pandit on Thursday said the biometric attendance system would be introduced at all the District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs) and medical colleges on a pilot basis. Later, it would be implemented in all Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs).
Besides, the State Government would spend Rs 250 crore to induct new 236 ambulances to its 108 Ambulance fleet in the 2023-24 fiscal. This would benefit the patients by reducing the time taken for the allotment of the ambulances, the Health Secretary said.
The addition of new vehicles is expected to reduce the response time from 30 minutes to 20 minutes.
Also, the Government would open ‘Ama Hospital’ in all 147 Assembly constituencies and they would be operational within nine months. The CHCs, Sub-Divisional Hospitals would be selected and upgraded into ‘Ama Hospital’ and Rs 750 crore would be spent towards the development of these hospitals.
