The dead body of the youth who was washed away in Hatma drain located in Saraitand of Lalpur police station area was found after a day on Monday. The body has been sent to RIMS for post-mortem.

On Sunday, a young man named Dev Prasad Ram was washed away in the strong current of water in Hatma drain. Since then he was being searched but due to heavy rain he could not be found and his body was recovered a day later today.

Dev Prasad used to earn his living by working in the vendor market of Ranchi Municipal Corporation. While returning home from work on Sunday, he suddenly got hit by the strong current of water and the strong water carried him towards the drain. The incident was reported to have taken place around 1:30 in the afternoon. The culvert at Hatma Saraitand was filled with water due to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the water of the drain was flowing at high speed on the Hatma Saraitand culvert. Meanwhile, while crossing the bridge, Dev Prasad lost his balance and fell into the drain. Dev Prasad Ram age 28, who was returning home from his shop number 39 located at Atal Smriti Vendor Market.

The people nearby gathered and shouted to save the youth. This was immediately informed to the police station also. After receiving the information, police from Bariatu, Lalpur and Gonda police stations were deployed. Due to darkness, the police faced problems in the search operation. When morning came, the search for the body began once again and the body was recovered on Monday morning.
