Bokaro Steel Management under the guidance of Director Incharge (DIC) BSL Amarendu Prakash, is making continuous efforts to improve the civic amenities of the township area and also with the recent inception of ED Personal RR Prasad Township infrastructure revival task definitely gets a boost.
Basically Township revival mode is under prime action pertaining to the repair of main roads of townships, arrangement of LED lights in main roads and renovation of drainage system on war basis are going on with micro level monitoring for the exponential improvement lead by CGM Township B.S Popli. It is noteworthy that last year the plan for comprehensive maintenance of the city's drainage system was targeted to be completed before this monsoon and the way work at ground level is in progress one can say that target is not far & if this gets done it would be truly a commendable job in terms of Township maintenance which this depleting city was waiting since long and existing Township team justifying by their round the clock tireless efforts in reinstating the lost glory and now this words can be heard from common man residing in this city as during interaction with Ram Babu a 50 year old resident walking down the renovated street rather now happy street said “Seher ka gaurav lout raha hai , Bokaro fir se chamak raha hai”
Drain work can be seen in progress in almost every sector of Bokaro where the objective is to clean all existing rainwater road side drain networks and culverts. Besides, 45 Km of roads are strengthened so far and another 45 km will be completed before monsoon. In parallel contract of 60km road mainly of Gandhi chowk to patharkatta, Kalibari road, BGH to Sector 9 hatia including all main roads of sectors is under the phase of finalization to strengthen the road networks throughout the township which is in depleted condition form seeking no revival actions since long and was soughting for revival silently with obvious no choice. Also 7km of roads will be strengthen through micro surfacing technique by next month of Bokaro Niwas road from patharkatta, Lake road and Road from BSL Administration building to Nayamore hence overall symbolising in true sense the meaning of Happy Street in Bokaro with no one day but all day . Taking step ahead on all improvements, renovation of much needed BSL operated school buildings including community centres are simultaneously under process which again were pleading for their restoration help. Notably the Electricity department of BSL was also involved in bringing radical changes and involved in various upliftment tasks.
