The Congress on Wednesday said the Chhattisgarh model of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel found an echo in the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
In a statement, PCC chief spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla said replicating the Godhan scheme of Chhattisgarh, the Centre has adapted a similar scheme for the entire country.
The decision to set up Godhan plants in the country was an expansion of the Godhan scheme in Chhattisgarh, he said.
Similarly, now an Indian millet institute has been given the status of a Centre of Excellence. The Chhattisgarh government is already buying millets on support price, he added.
