The Chhattisgarh women’s hockey team defeated Delhi 2-0 in the first match of its pool on Sunday at the All India Civil Services Hockey Tournament in Bhubaneswar.
Tulsi Sahu of Bemetara scored the first goal and Samla of Balrampur scored the second.
The Chhattisgarh defence performed played a key role in keeping the Delhi forwards away.
