CCL conducts training for employees of outstanding partners

A fourteen-day "Initial Training for Rescue and Recovery Work in Mines" for the employees of Outsourcing Partners (JMS Mining Private Limited and BGR), of Central Coalfields Limited, under the aegis of Central Coalfields Limited, Mine Rescue Centre, Ramgarh concluded on Tuesday. This initiative by CCL, the first among all subsidiary units of Coal India, is a unique step towards skill development of its outsourcing partner's employees.

The training went on uninterrupted from 30.08.23 to 12.09.23. This training was given by trainers Vyomkesh Kumar, S.K. Singh, and Brigade Captain Tulsi Bedia, Brigade Member Md. Shamshad and Rahul Anand under the guidance of Superintendent (Rescue Services) Mine Rescue Station, Vikas Kumar. In this rigorous training programme, a total of 10 participants were given comprehensive training on the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, reviving apparatus, self-contained self-rescuer and other rescue equipment, rescue operations & first aid.

General Manager (Safety & Rescue), CCL, S.K. Singh felicitated the successful participants with certificates. On this occasion, General Manager (Safety & Rescue) said that in almost all the mines of CCL, the employees of the outsourcing partner are supporting the production activities shoulder to shoulder with the employees of CCL.

After this training, the outsourcing partner employees will also be available for assistance in case of an accidental or medical emergency in various mines, which will be of great help to the onsite rescue teams. This training will be conducted regularly at the Mines Rescue Station for the employees of the interested outsourcing partners. The newly trained personnel were administered an oath by Superintendent (Rescue Services) Vikas Kumar that "in the event of a mine or any other accidental incident, they will use their intelligence, patience and skill and will do the rescue work with full dedication".
