Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau arrests former DSP
 
Chandigarh:  Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday arrested Phool Singh, a former HPS officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police in a criminal case registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act.  Bureau’s spokesperson informed that Phool Singh has served in the State Vigilance Bureau, now renamed as Anti Corruption Bureau. A vigilance inquiry was registered against him on the allegations of gross irregularities and criminal misconduct during the investigation of a vigilance case. The allegations were found true after a detailed inquiry. Accordingly, a criminal case was registered against him and his accomplices in Police Station, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hisar. An SIT of the officers of the ACB was constituted and the investigation of the case was entrusted to it.  After collecting all relevant evidence during the investigation, the SIT arrested the accused and produced him in a Hisar Court which sent him to 14 days’ judicial custody.

Door to Door Garbage collection in Chd market areas to start from April 1

Chandigarh: Working towards providing better services to the shopkeepers and market areas of the city Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh chaired a meeting of all the Market Welfare Associations on Thursday. Anindita Mitra, Commissioner and other senior officers of MCC and office bearers of all Market Welfare Associations of Chandigarh, attended the meeting. During the meeting, various issues were raised by the representatives of MWAs. Door-to-door waste collection from MWAs was also discussed. The MWAs were asked to follow the norms of the advertisement control order and use designated space for Advertisement on the SCOs.  The issue regarding the installation of Fire Safety equipment in markets was also discussed. 

G20 Agriculture Working Group delegates to visit Hry

Chandigarh: Delegates of the G20 second Agriculture Working Group will visit Haryana to interact with state officers on March 31, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said on Thursday. He said the delegates would be apprised of milestones achieved by the state, especially in the field of agriculture. He also reviewed preparations for the visit of the delegation with state functionalities. According to Kaushal, 100 delegates of the G20 Agriculture Working Group will visit the historical Yadavindra Gardens, which was created in the 17th century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan. In recent times, it has been renamed Yadavindra Garden in memory of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh of the former princely state of Patiala.
