One group attacked the house of another group in a clash during idol immersion at Jhirki village under Gomia police station here on Friday night. While five people of the same family were injured in the attack  said sources.  

All the injured are being treated at a private hospital in Gomia. While two people of the other group are injured and they are also undergoing treatment.

Injured Upendra Ravidas, who is undergoing treatment at Gomia Hospital, told that at around 8:30 pm on Friday night, he along with his villagers returned after immersing the idol of Saraswati Puja and was standing at Ambedkar Chowk in his village.  

Meanwhile, the procession of immersion of Saraswati idol of Yadav Tola of Jhirki was also passing from there. In this sequence, they had an argument with Ashok Yadav. 

After which the people involved in the procession started fighting with another group and they ran away and entered their uncle's house. 

 People reached there too and beat his uncle and cousin badly with sticks. Due to which his uncle Ramdular Ram got a serious injury in his left hand.

Cousin brother Laxmikant Ravidas's lower and some upper teeth were broken in the attack, while Devendra Ravidas'got his head injuries.While Kailash Ravidas got also hurt on his head.  

However the cousin sister Meena Kumari was hit with a stick in her leg and thigh.  Apart from this, she was also beaten badly, due to which his left ear was torn. They misbehaved with the women of the house.

She said that the cousin's car was also badly damaged. However the Gomia police arrived after getting  an information and remained deployed in the security system throughout the night. 

The police admitted her to the hospital. In the morning, even in the presence of the police, abuses were done. 

Injured Meena Kumari sa aid that because of being a Dalit community, they continue to harass them in this way. This type of incident has happened before also.

When an attempt was made to contact Ashok Yadav on mobile, his mobile was found switched off.  In this regard, the station in-charge Prince Kumar told that there was a fight in the night regarding idol immersion.  Ashok and Kailash Yadav are also hurt.  Whose treatment is going on.  Till now no party has reached to register the case while the matter is calm.
