CM unveils schemes worth Rs 1095.57 Cr in Dumka

Government's schemes land on the ground. Implementation of plans should be fast. Plans should be completed on time. For this, continuous monitoring of the schemes is necessary. In this series, I myself am going to the districts and meeting with the headquarters and district officials to get information about the ground reality of the schemes,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a multipurpose convention center equipped with modern facilities in Dumka on Wednesday. On this occasion, the CM inaugurated 110 schemes - laid foundation stones, distributed assets among the beneficiaries and gave appointment letters to the candidates.

The CM said that district level plans should be reviewed in the districts. This will definitely bring better results. It is the responsibility of the senior officer sitting at the headquarters to regularly monitor the district level schemes. If all the officers will fulfill their responsibilities honestly then we will be able to give a better and orderly system. This will benefit the state and the people living here.

The Chief Minister said that the government has started a new practice in the state to solve the problems of the people by organizing camps at the panchayat level. The success of the scheme can be gauged from the fact that lakhs of people were given the benefits of government schemes at their doorsteps.

The CM said that Dumka is the sub-capital of Jharkhand along with being the focal point of the Santhal Parganas division. This district is moving forward by creating its own identity in many fields. In this episode, the convention center is another big gift for here. This center is like a complete package in a sense, where many programs including cultural, seminars, conferences can be organized. It is equipped with modern facilities and a multi-purpose center, where many facilities are available under one roof. The arrangement of this center should be maintained, special attention will be needed for this.

The CM said that it has been seen many times that even for programs in small towns and rural areas, one has to approach big hotels or big cities. But, due to the presence of the Convention Center, now the programs here will be organized in this city and district, in which more and more people actually associated with the program will get a chance to participate.

The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 110 schemes at a cost of Rs 10 billion 95 crore 60 lakh 57 thousand 890. In this, 24 schemes worth Rs 2 billion 38 crore 61 lakh 11 thousand 500 were inaugurated and foundation stones of 86 schemes worth Rs 8 billion 56 crore 99 lakh 46 thousand 390 were laid.

On this occasion, the CM inaugurated Convention Center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and ITI building at Shikaripara built at a cost of about Rs 32 crore. Important schemes for which foundation stones were laid include 9 high-level bridges, construction of 45 health sub-centres, 12 roads, strengthening and widening of 10 roads, 4 check dams, Jama-Jarmundi water supply scheme, Kathikund-Shikaripara water supply scheme and Dumka airport. The Chief Minister distributed assets, loans and grants amounting to Rs 1 billion 59 crore 37 lakh 77 thousand 231 among 88777 beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of the government.

On this occasion, appointment letters were given to 103 candidates for various departments by the Chief Minister. This year Dumka district has been declared as Kala-azar free district. In such a situation, nutrition kits were distributed among the frontline workers fighting against Kala-azar.

On this occasion, MP Vijay Hansda, MLAs Nalin Soren and Basant Soren, Zilla Parishad President, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sudarshan Prasad Mandal, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla and Superintendent of Police Amber Lakda were present along with many officials of the district.
