Monday, 30 January 2023 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday expressed his annoyance over the delay in revenue matters. Officials will face action during review, he said.

Baghel asked the Chief Secretary to take action against Collectors if any delay is detected. He was interacting with the media at the Swami Vivekananda Airport before leaving for Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said an overall review of revenue cases across the state will be conducted in the last week of February. Before that all revenue cases should be disposed.

The work to be done relates mainly to nomination, demarcation and   diversion including                regularization of illegal           construction.

On the mention of Millet Café of Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme on Sunday, Baghel said Chhattisgarh has already been promoting ‘Millet Mission’ in the state. Ragi, Kodi, Kutki are being procured. Last year 52,000 quintals were procured. This year the production area has increased and procurement is likely to more than double.

The Chief Minister said he will be part of the culmination of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on January 30. All the 23 Opposition parties have also been invited. Congress leaders across the country will also participate.

He said the yatra began on September 7 from Kanyakumari covering 12 states – spanning a distance of nearly 3,500 kilometres.
