Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) members took to the streets and held demonstration before the State Bank of India and Life Insurance Corporation offices in Bhubaneswar on Monday against the financial fraud allegations of the Adani Group.
The PCC led by its president Sarat Patnaik demanded a discussion on the fraud by the Adani Group in Parliament and probe into by a joint Parliamentary Committee monitored by the Supreme Court Chief Justice.
Patnaik said on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi , power was utilised and SBI and LIC invested the poor peoples’ money in Adani Group. After the publication of the Hidenurg report the Adani Group’s shares are fallen and the people are facing uncertainty.
PCC leaders like Jayadev Jena, Ananta Sethi, Ram Chandra Khuntia, Panchanan Kanungo and Biswajit Das also spoke and said Modi’s sympathy to his industrialist friend has caused losses worth crores to the SBI and the LIC.
