Karma eve cultural program was celebrated by Central Sarna Committee in the auditorium of BS College on Sunday. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Dr. Shashi Kumar Gupta. Local MLA cum Finance Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oroan, Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, MP Sudarshan Bhagat, Mani Oraon, former MLA Sukhdev Bhagat, Chamra Linda, Rohit Bhagat etc. were mainly present in the program. In the program, 52 teams with their respective groups presented cultural programs and dances based on Karma by tribal community and school college students in traditional costumes.
Welcome speech was given by Anil Bhagat, Chief Patron of Central Sarna Committee, Mani Oraon and detailed information about Karma Parv. On the occasion, the winning team was honored by the visiting guests by beating the drum. On this occasion, Central Committee organizer Mani Oraon, President Ranthu Oraon, Secretary Shashi, Anil Bhagat,nishist jaiswal Anupama Bhagat, Sukhdev Oraon, Anil Oraon, Kajal Oraon, Professor Lohra Oraon, Suraj Aggarwal, Jonas Oraon, Sanjay Oraon, Aarti Kumari and a large number of students of all three hostels and people from other communities were present.
