Cuttack Ahmadiyya body observes Khilafat Day

Tuesday, 30 May 2023 | PNS | CUTTACK

After the departure of the reformer Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in 1908, the formation of Ahmadiyya Khilafat began. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission is committed to social service and has helped many distressed people, said speakers at the celebration of Khilafat Day on Sunday here.

Syed Taher Ahmed Kalim, former president of Cuttack Ahmadiyya Muslim Organization, presided. He recited the Holy Quran while Syed Yahiya Ahmed performed Urdu Nazam.  Engg Firoz Khan administered the centenary oath of Ahmadiyya Khilafat.

Joining as the chief speaker, Hafizuddin Ahmad Khan said Khilafat means, after the death of any avatar or reformer or Prophet, Rasul's work will be carried forward according to the eighty orders. Maulana Fazal Haque Khan attended as the chief guest and said Khilafat is a gift.  As in the history of Islam, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, Hazrat Umar Farooq, Hazrat Usman Ghani and Hazrat Ali carried the burden of the Islamic Caliphate after the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad. The great man appointed to the position of Caliphate is called a Caliph.  Only God chooses a monotheistic, truthful and pious person for the post of Caliph, he said.

Many important people of the Ahmadiyya Muslim organisation attended.
