DAV's Hardik and Aryan become winners of "Know India Quiz"

Bharat Vikas Parishad, Hazaribag branch, with the aim of awakening the spirit of cooperation, values, service and dedication among the children and making them familiar with the vast cultural background of India, was organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Hazaribag branch on Monday at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Malviya Marg, Hazaribag. The quiz team of DAV Hazaribag qualified for the state level competition by securing the first position with 258 marks in the senior group of “Know India Quiz '' competition held on Monday. 

 

On behalf of DAV school, Hardik of class 12 and Aryan Kumar of class 11 were representing the school in the senior group. In the junior group also, DAV got second position whose participants were Nayan Smriti and Arnav. Now both the participants of the senior group of DAV will represent the school in the state level competition to be held in Deoghar. In this quiz, a total of 8 rounds of quizzes were conducted on Art-Culture, Indian Constitution and Politics, Sports, Science, Religion and Current Affairs and each stage had four rounds. This quiz was quite exciting because till the end all the teams were giving their best and it was a matter of curiosity as to which team would get the first position. 

 

The role of quiz master was Sunil Kumar, a retired officer of Damodar Valley Corporation, Hazaribag, who asked the quiz questions very well. In order to keep the children relaxed and excited, he was interacting with the children and asking questions while making them laugh. The level of questions in the quiz was very good which was expanding the knowledge base of the children. There is an atmosphere of joy in the entire DAV family on this success. The teacher in-charge, . Kavita Pandey congratulated the participants of the quiz team and said that they would be honoured in the school assembly. . Pandey said that preparation for the quiz cannot be done in a day or two, rather it requires continuous study of the topics every day. He also congratulated the team's mentors . RD Sharma and Naval Kishore Mishra. On this success, Chairman of DAV Schools . Nanak Chand Ji, Director  JP Shoor, ARO of Jharkhand Zone D, Dr. Urmila Singh and Vice Chairman of Local Management Committee . Dinesh Khandelwal congratulated the victorious students and wished them all the best for the future.
