Chhattisgarh's Food and Drug Administration has seized fake ayurvedic medicines valued at Rs 2.8 crore in raids in the districts of Raipur and Balodabazar-Bhatapara.
The Health and Family Welfare Department said on Friday in a statement that the seized drugs were being sold as pain relievers.
Sample tests revealed they contained allopathic medicines (diclofenac and aceclofenac and other contents).
Based on the information, four teams raided Bajrang Ayurvedic Agency (Raipur), Yashika Trading and Marketing Pvt Ltd (Raipur) and Sharda Medical Store (Balodabazar-Bhatapara).
