Chief Minister Hemant Soren today chaired a meeting with officials at the State Secretariat regarding the preparations for organizing the Netarhat Eco Festival-2023 proposed by the state government. In the meeting, officials of the Tourism Department presented detailed information about the preparations being made by the department for organizing Netarhat Eco Retreat 2023 through a PPT presentation before the Chief Minister.
In the meeting, the CM said that the main objective of organising Netarhat Eco Festival-2023 is to attract international, national and domestic tourists, so that Jharkhand can be recognized as a favourite tourism state. In the meeting, the CM directed the concerned officials to give their best to make the Netarhat Eco Festival event a success. He told the officials that Netarhat Eco-Festival is a great opportunity for tourists to know about Jharkhand which is attractive, beautiful and has investment potential.
The CM said that the objective of this eco festival is to attract tourists as well as private sectors to invest here. He said that the event will also help in reviving the tourism sector in the state. He said that efforts should be made to involve the local people as much as possible in this Eco Festival program. Work should also be done to equip the private houses built in the rural areas surrounding Netarhat tourist place. Provide full cooperation to the local people living in the area in furnishing their houses. Improve road connectivity. For electric lighting, lights should also be installed through solar energy.
In the meeting, the CM directed the senior officers of the Forest Department that along with the conservation of the Netarhat tourist area in the present years, the work of plantation in mission mode on the identified vacant land should also be ensured so that the Netarhat tourist area remains green in the coming days also.
Soren told the officials that all the guests attending Netarhat Eco Festivals should take full care of the tourists. Arrangements for all facilities related to the Eco Festival should be ensured. Make complete preparations for the tourists' accommodation, food and entertainment as well as which areas will be visited. Introduce tourists to the art, culture and lifestyle of Jharkhand. The CM said that all facilities for children's activities should be ensured in Netarhat. The CM directed the department officials to establish a children’s park permanently in Netarhat. He directed the officials to keep in mind the health emergency during the Eco Festivals and to make proper arrangements for the doctor as well as the entire medical team.
In the meeting, Director, Tourism, Anjali Yadav presented the detailed outline of the preparations for organizing Eco Festival Netarhat-2023 before CM Hemant Soren through a PowerPoint presentation. The officials informed the Chief Minister about every point related to the preparations. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also gave many important guidelines to the officials in this regard.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Sanjay Srivastava, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Secretary of Tourism Department Manoj Kumar, Additional PCCF M.K. Singh, Director Tourism Anjali Yadav, Director IPRD Rajeev Lochan Bakshi and others were present.
