Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday said that farmers would get bills for tube wells but the government would now pay them.
He called upon the Bharatiya Janata Party workers to start preparing for the parliamentary elections to form the government at the Centre for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2024.
Soon after landing at the police lines on Joya Road in Amroha on Sunday morning, Maurya’s convoy reached the BJP district office. He was welcomed and greeted by the party leaders, office-bearers and workers. While raising the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Maurya said that there was goonda raj in the state during the previous Samajwadi Party regime and police stations and government offices were controlled by brokers of the SP. He said that 50 per cent of the development budget was looted in the name of commission in the SP regime and tenders were issued but roads were not built.
Maurya said that there was a change since the formation of the BJP government in the state. “Development is taking place everywhere without discrimination. The benefits of all the schemes are reaching the beneficiaries directly,” he pointed out.
Maurya said that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP would take its victory chariot forward by registering a historic victory on all 80 Lok Sabha seats of UP. “This election is the election of the coming 100 years, therefore the party workers will have to start preparations with full dedication from now on,” he said.
The deputy chief minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the most popular leader of the world. “When one listens to him, one’s body is filled with new energy and enthusiasm,” he added.
Maurya said in 2022, all political parties united to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party, but the results showed that the people believed that the BJP had taken the country and the state on a new path of development. “Now youths are getting employment and solving the problems of sugarcane farmers is the priority of the government,” he said.
The deputy chief minister further said that in the BJP regime, women were being protected while goons and mafia were going to jail. “Now no one migrates from Amroha or any other district of UP, rather, goons and mafias have migrated,” he said.
Maurya also listened to the problems of the party workers. On the demand of a party worker, Maurya promised to make Ganga Ghat of Tigri fully concrete.
