ICAR-National Institute of Secondary Agriculture (NISA) is going to organize its hundredth Foundation Day celebration on September 20. On this occasion, CP Radhakrishnan, Governor, Jharkhand will be present in the program as the chief guest. The special guests will be Badal, Minister, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, Government of Jharkhand and Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR), Government of India; Abubakar Siddiqui, Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, Government of Jharkhand; Dr. Shyam Narayan Jha, Deputy Director General (Engineering), ICAR, New Delhi and Dr. K P. Singh, Assistant Director General (Field Engineering), ICAR, New Delhi will also have a dignified presence.
About 1000 farmers from different districts of Jharkhand will also participate in the programme. Besides, a small exhibition will also be set up at the venue for visitors and farmers. The program will start at 11:30 am and end at approximately 01:00 pm. Director of the institute, Dr. Abhijeet Kar said that the institute was established in the year 1924 during the British era. Since its inception till date, the institute has discharged the given responsibilities and goals smoothly along with efficient leadership and work, due to which we have been able not only to maintain the existence of the institute but also for the research, upliftment and welfare of farmers and society. By remaining continuously active, he has made a valuable contribution in the service of the nation.
