Hardik’s men, Kiwis reach Ranchi for first T20 match

Hardik Pandya’s young Indian side will gear up to face the Kiwis in a three-match T20I series starting on January 27, at Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium at HEC Township.  The Indian side which is on high note after registering 3-0 win against New Zealand in three match ODI series, the T20 series Indian side will see a lot of fresh faces with Hardik Pandya at the helm of India’s T20 reboot.

The excitement is abuzz for the clash in Ranchi, with tickets fast selling out. The Indian and Kiwis teach on Wednesday evening reached the state capital. The teams have been housed at Radisson Blu, from there the two teams on Thursday morning will go to JSCA stadium for a practice match. The stadium is located just 7 KM away from Birsa Munda airport and the railway station is just 10 KM away from the Ranchi cricket ground.

Tickets have been fast selling out with fans going crazy to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars in action. Fans can purchase a maximum of 4 tickets of single or assorted categories. Online tickets are for only home delivery. The tickets have been priced at Rs 1000 to Rs 10000. The price of tickets  at Amitabh Choudhary Pavilion (North Pavilion) Premium Terrace is Rs 2200, Corporate Box Rs 4500 (With Hospitality), Hospitality Box Rs 5500 (With Hospitality), Corporate Lounge Rs 8000 (With Hospitality), Presidents’ Enclosure Rs 10000 (With Hospitality), MS Dhoni Pavilion (South Pavilion) Luxury Parlour East Rs 6000 (With Hospitality).

The match will be played at JSCA Stadium on January 27 from 7.30 pm. The second T20 match of the series will be played in Lucknow on January 29 and the third match in Ahmedabad on February 1. JSCA Stadium has proved lucky for the Indian team. So far three T20 matches have been held here and Team India has won all three. The first T20 match between India and Sri Lanka was played here on 12 February 2016, in which India won by 69 runs. On 7 October 2017, India defeated Australia by nine wickets in the second T20 match by Duckworth-Lewis method. On 19 November 2021, India defeated New Zealand by seven wickets.

JSCA has completed its preparations for organizing this match. The practice pitch has been prepared for the practice match of the teams. At the same time, the floodlights were also checked last night. The entire field has been examined. Adequate security arrangements have also been made there. From the entry of the people to the security of the players, inspection has been done.
