Haryana State Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation has provided financial assistance of Rs 2026.19 lakh to 2556 beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes under various schemes during the financial year 2022-23 till February, 2023. Subsidy of Rs 165.71 lakh is also included in the assistance.
The government’s official spokesperson on Tuesday said that loans under various categories — including agriculture and allied sector, industrial, business sector and self-employment sector — are provided to the SCs so that they can establish their business and generate self-employment opportunities. Financial assistance is also being provided to them under the schemes implemented with the help of National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.
Spokesperson said that under agriculture and allied sector, loans worth Rs 660.98 lakh have been made available to 927 beneficiaries for dairy farming, sheep rearing, piggery and jhota buggy. Out of this, Rs 601.37 lakh has been released as bank loan and Rs.59.51 lakh as subsidy. Similarly, under trade and business sector, an amount of Rs 21.90 lakh was provided to 41 beneficiaries out of which Rs. 17.27 lakh was released as bank loan, Rs 2.44 lakh as subsidy and Rs 2.19 lakh as margin money.
