Chhattisgarh Chief Minister on Sunday denounced the police action against women wrestlers in New Delhi and said Central government's action was an example of cowardice.
“It must be noted that history is scripted by champions and not cowards,” he said.
Baghel tweeted that ‘daughters’ are a form of ‘power’. “If they can use their power in bringing laurels to nation, then can also fight against injustice. It is an act of cowardice to crush their protest with power."
The women wrestlers were dragged away by the police while they were marching towards the new parliament building demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
They have now intensified their protest continuing their month long protest at Jantar-Mantar in national capital.
