A two-day National Continuing Medical Education (CME) program was organized on 03rd and 04th February by the Regional Research Institute for Homeopathy, Imphal under the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, New Delhi (an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India). Speakers from Manipur and different parts of the country participated in it. Dr. Ashish Kumar Dixit (Medical Officer, Homeopathy) working in the Department of AYUSH, AIIMS Bhopal was invited to deliver lecture and chair the session. Dr. Dixit delivered a lecture on important points in research and how to prepare a research proposal.
The theme of the CME program was ‘Application of Research in Clinical Practice’. Lectures were delivered in the event to sensitize the homeopathic practitioners of Manipur to apply evidence-based methods in their daily clinical practice and to inspire research. Dr. Amit Srivastava, Scientist-1 & Officer-in-Charge, RRI (H), Imphal conducted the CME program and welcomed all the delegates. He was optimistic that this CME would help bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.
Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Prof. Dr. Ajai Singh congratulated Dr. Ashish Dixit and gave instructions for organizing such type of program in AIIMS Bhopal as well. He said that research always strengthens medical practice and using results of research in clinical practice increases its quality.
