Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal is organizing a lecture Under the Museum's Popular Lecture Series on the titled ‘ Society, Culture and Tradition; Tales of the Jarawa of Andaman Islands' from January 27, 2023 at 4 pm. The lecture will be delivered by Sumitabh Chakravarty anthropologist anthropology survey of India Port-Blair Andaman Nicobar. This lecture will be organized at the Rock Art Centre of Manav Sangrahalaya, Shamla Hills, Bhopal through online and offline mode.
Sumitabh Chakraborty received his Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology from Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh and his Ph.D. from Ranchi University Jharkhand Initially, he started his anthropological research work as a Junior Research Fellow, then worked as a Senior Research Fellow, and then since 1996, has been working as a Research Associate in the Andaman and Nicobar Regional Center of Anthropological Survey of India, Kolkata, During his long academic journey, he has completed several research studies and organize several workshops among tribal and non-tribal communities in different regions of India.
