The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) successfully organized "Hindi Pakhwada" from September 1 to September 14, 2023. The event observed enthusiastic participation from both the institute's employees and students. During the fortnight, the Hindi cell of the institute organized a wide range of competitions, including Hindi essay writing, Hindi linguistics, Hindi message composition, Hindi speech, Hindi typing, Hindi noting, and drafting. A significant highlight of this celebration was the observance of "Hindi Diwas" on September 14, 2023.
On this occasion, a lively debate competition and essay writing competition were held, focusing on the theme "Pragate Moolam Prakriti." These events were tailored to promote the Hindi language among the students, and they witnessed overwhelming participation, demonstrating the students' affection for "Hindi" language. On this occasion, Dr. K. Ravichandran, Director, IIFM, expressed the institute's unwavering commitment to achieving the targets outlined by the Department of Official Language. He emphasized the institute's enthusiasm for hosting such events on a grand scale. He said, "Over the past fortnight, the Hindi Cell has successfully organized a variety of competitions and activities dedicated to promoting the use of 'Rajbhasha' (official language). The Hindi Cell deserves commendation for their commendable efforts in this regard". Rrecognition of outstanding performances in these competitions, Dr. K. Ravichandran felicitated the winners with cash prizes and certificates.
