A worker was charred to death on Wednesday after a fire broke out in a fabrication unit in Raipur.
The blaze erupted in the company which manufactures over-bridge fabrication structures in Urla industrial area, Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Maheshwari said.
Vikas Chandrakar (25), an office boy, suffered from serious burns in the incident and died, he said.
The police suspect that an electric short-circuit could have triggered the fire but the exact cause was yet to be ascertained.
