A minor boy was brutally murdered in Gorakhpur by his friends over a dispute regarding the payment of a Rs 115 bill for eggs. On receiving the information, the police swung into action and arrested all three accused and registered a case against them.
As per reports, the victim, Chandan of Ghuguli village in Maharajganj district, went out with his three friends to eat eggs from a vendor on Saturday evening. They involved into an argument over the payment of Rs 115.
Following the argument, Chandan was taken to Ahirauli village by the three friends where they allegedly killed him with a sharp-edged weapon. The trio then hid the body near the banks of the Chhoti Gandak river and fled, the police said.
When Chandan did not return home, his family members informed the police. On Sunday morning, Ghughuli police recovered the body, and based on Chandan’s father’s complaint and lodged an FIR.

Depressed by the news of Bajrangi her husband’s death, Kavita, who was at her maternal home in Bhavirath Purwa hamlet of Visheshwarganj, also ended her life.
Police reached the spot after receiving the information and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Further investigations are on.
