Monsoon activities are likely to be delayed in Madhya Pradesh

The monsoon movement would delay the monsoon still rainfall and thundery activities would be witnessed, warning of rainfall, gusty winds and thundery activities has been issued by the Met department.

Monsoon may have arrived in Madhya Pradesh by the last week of June, but the pre-monsoon is drenching the state. The weather changed in Chhindwara on Wednesday afternoon. Due to heavy rains, the wheat kept in the open in the agricultural produce market got  drenched and some of it also got washed away. Farmers who came to sell their produce were seen struggling to save wheat from the rain.

Apart from this, it rained in Indore, Ujjain, Rajgarh, Khajuraho, Mandla and Seoni. In Khajuraho, there was scorching heat along with rain. A temperature of 42.2 degree Celsius was recorded here. The maximum temperature was 43 degrees in Damoh. On Wednesday, the temperature was recorded at 40 or more in more than 20 cities of the state.

Meteorologists have expressed the possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in many cities of the state till June 15. This will happen due to the system being active in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarhi. Monsoon may enter the state by the last week of June. The monsoon is not progressing due to the formation of a cyclone in the Arabian Sea. Due to this it will be delayed in Kerala as well.

Meteorologist  told that cyclone and other systems are still active in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Its effect will also be seen in Madhya Pradesh. Because of this, pre-monsoon activity will continue in the state. Scattered rain may occur in the afternoon. There will be a situation of thunder and lightning. Due to the formation of a cyclone in the Arabian Sea, the monsoon is not progressing further.

Monsoon may be delayed in Madhya Pradesh as well due to delayed arrival in Kerala.  The weather is expected to remain clear on June 9, but the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains on June 10.
