Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday pledged to formulate a new rural industrial policy soon to link Rural Industrial Parks (RIPAs) and to generate employment to rural folk.

Baghel was addressing the online distribution money against cow dung and dividend paid to cattle owners, women groups and Gauthan committees.

He expressed delight that the RIPAs are functional in most places in the state.

"Before this work is completed, we have to work towards formulating a rural industry policy," he said.

For this, the concerned departments should complete the process soon, he said.

Expressing happiness over the power units started for generation of electricity from cow dung, he said the power generated from these units should be connected to the power grid.

While reviewing the unit for making paint from cow dung, the Chief Minister said it was a matter of happiness that 23 paint units were under process in 21 districts while production in 13 units have been started.

Baghel said schools and government offices will soon require a large amount of paint. "We have to produce natural paint by balancing the demand and supply so that paint can be supplied at the right time."
