The Centurion University of Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar and the Society for Agricultural Research and Management (SARM) jointly organised a one day hands-on training on “Pearl Culture” here.
Manoj Kumar Bisoi, an agripreneur from Samantarapur village of Cuttack joined as the resource person. The training was organised under the chairmanship of Dr Yashaswi Nayak, Dean, SoAS, CUTM. BSc and MSc students from the Departments of Botany and Zoology participated in large numbers.
Advantages of pearl farming, grafting, farming methodology, market demand of pearls, feeding process and tank disinfecting techniques were the major topics discussed.
Bisoi advised the students as to how to be a successful agripreneur.
