Police action against eight loud sound bikes

Taking action against banned loud sound making motorbikes, the police seized 8 bikes in a big action late in the night in Koh-e-Fiza area, the seized bikes are worth over Rs 1 crore.

These vehicles make very loud noise while moving and earlier RTO has completely banned. Despite this, bikers are seen roaming on the road. The sound of the silencer of many of these bikes is more than 100 decibels. RTO has also completely banned vehicles with modified silencers.

TI Vijay Singh Sisodia told that action was taken against the bikers at 11 pm on Saturday night near Khanugaon intersection of Kohefiza area. In which around 8 sports bikes were seized. Now the vehicle owners will be able to get these bikes released by depositing the challan in the court.

The seized bikes are high end bikes and the cost of these vehicles is estimated to be over  Rs 1 crore. The police were continuously receiving complaints related to the sound of the silencer. Even after instructions, bikers continued to use and create noise pollution which would create disturbance around  schools, colleges and hospitals. This situation prompted police to take action against these errant bikers by running a campaign.

Police said that fearing action few of the bikers escaped the spot leaving their bikes.

The sound of silencers of some of the seized bikes is more than 100 decibels. Even after the RTO's guide, these vehicles were plying on the roads. RTO has issued guidelines many times that there is a complete ban on vehicles with deadly sound and modified silencers.
