Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Friday escaped unhurt in a road accident on the Raipur-Bilaspur national highway.
The incident took place in the afternoon when Singh Deo was headed to Janjgir-Champa district from Raipur to attend a programme, his aide Rajendra Singh Parihar told The Pioneer.
A biker suddenly came ahead of Singh Deo’s vehicle near Nandghat on the Raipur-Bilaspur road.
In a bid to save the bike driver, the driver of the minister's vehicle rammed into the road divider. The accident caused two of its tyres to burst.
The Minister and his staff in the vehicle were unhurt, the official said.
