Hazaribag Superintendent of Police Manoj Rattan Chothey in the crime meeting organized before the Ramnavmi festival today said that action must be taken on anti – social elements of the society. Those who are providing the leadership to such elements and running the organized crime must be under the police by imposing the CCA and NSA on them. Police stations must also be alert on social media. If any person posts a communally disturbing message, he should be punished by lodging the police case.

He said that the Ramnavami festival is a very sensitive festival of Hazaribag. It is the duty of every police station that they must be well equipped with the information about how many Akhadas in the areas and what is their route of procession.

The persons who are accused in old cases must be recognized and action must be taken on them. So that possibilities of disturbance can be removed before any incidents take place.

The SP further instructed all the officers in charge of the police stations, especially Sadar police station, that this is the duty of the police to provide the full protection to the campus of the civil court. He said that all the measures must be kept in mind while doing the duty in the court campus.

He further said that the disposal of the cases must be done within 60 days by every police station of the district. The group of persons who are in the purchasing and selling of the narcotics must be sent to jail under CCA.

The SP emphasized on social media and directed to the officers that they must be alert on the message on social media. Any objectionable statement must be taken in knowledge and act according to laws.

He reviewed all the cases which were lodged by the police stations in the last months. He said that all the cases must be disposed of in the limited time period. In the meeting all the SDPO’s and officers in charge of the police station were present.
