Under the ongoing Swachhta Hi Seva campaign in BSL various program was organized. In the same episode a cleanliness run was organized from Gandhi Chowk to Ispat Bhawan on 30th September in the morning. This race was organized with the aim of expressing our commitment towards the call of garbage free India and creating public awareness towards cleanliness. Notably the cleanliness drive was flagged off by Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Executive Director (Works), BSL. Before the start of the race, he also administered the cleanliness oath to everyone. Executive Director (Project) C R Mahapatra, Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) Suresh Rangani, Executive Director (Materials Management) Amitabh Srivastava, CMO (M&HS) Dr. BB Karunamoy, BSL along with ED Tiwari particpated in the cleanliness run. Chief General Manager and senior officers of Jharkhand Group of Mines and SRU along with officers of CISF jawans, children of BSL run schools, nursing school students etc. also participated actively .
Also in another program under the Swachhta Pakhwada, a health check-up camp was organized for the Safai Mitras working in the plant premises on 30th September at the OHS Center (Plant Medical) of BSL.
In the same episode Chas Municipal Corporation lead by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Chas) Anil Kumar Singh also organised a program under the campaign “Swachhta Hi Seva Pakhwada” and honoured all the Safai Mitras (Cleaners) working day and night under chas Municipal Corporation by giving then gift package containing food grains, packets of rice, pulses, turmeric, soybean, sugar etc.
