The district administration has released the traffic plan for Ramnagar-Kaladhungi considering VIP and VVIP movement during the G20 CSAR to be held here from March 28 to 30. There will be a no-parking zone from Kosi barrage to Taj Resort via Lakhanpur. On March 28 the movement of heavy vehicles will be prohibited on the Kosi barrage-Lakhanpur-Amdanda-Garjiya-Ramnagar route. Heavy vehicles will be allowed from 10 PM to 6 AM. Similarly, only vehicles carrying essential commodities like petro/diesel/milk, gas and ambulances will be allowed on the VIP route from March 28 to 30 though a complete zero zone will be implemented during the movement of VIP vehicles.
Considering the devotees who visit Garjiya during Navratri in tractor-trolleys and other large vehicles, these will be turned back from Haldua barrier and only those devotees who are travelling in light vehicles will be allowed on the route. The GMOU/KMOU buses, trucks and taxis among other vehicles usually parked at Ranipur Road, in front of PWD guest house, Amdanda Road and in front of the degree college will be parked at the MPIC inter college ground from March 25 to 30.
